This situation has become incredibly overwhelming. I am reaching out to the genuine community for assistance, hoping for serious replies with complete information.
My frustration with widespread rental scams has now turned to fear, as I have only one day remaining to find, secure, and arrange a move-in to a new home. The alternative is something I prefer not to contemplate.
My online searches have yielded nothing but fraudulent listings, unscrupulous individuals, or total silence. This is not a reflection on me personally, as I have not yet had the opportunity to speak with or meet any potential landlords or renters.
My current circumstances require a temporary downsize. My requirements are modest, yet I have been unable to secure even a referral. If you are in a position to offer help, please do so—time is critically short. I am a long-time resident of the Valley with extensive rental history and an excellent tenant record, but I have never encountered difficulties of this magnitude.
My Search Criteria
- Preferred Areas: West Sherman Oaks, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, or nearby locations within walking distance of Ventura Boulevard.
- Housing Needs: A furnished guest house, accessory dwelling unit (ADU), or a private room with its own entrance.
- Essential Features: A private bathroom and at least a kitchenette setup. The rental must be private, not a shared living arrangement.
