Job Summary:
Premier Auto Credit HQ is looking for a dedicated and meticulous Staff Accountant to become a member of our finance team. In this position, you will be tasked with maintaining the integrity and precision of our financial documentation. Your duties will encompass reconciling bank statements, recording journal entries, managing balance sheets, and performing account reconciliations. Additionally, you will analyze financial information and generate reports to aid in organizational planning and strategy. This role operates under the supervision of the Accounting Manager within the finance division.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position does not have supervisory duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute bank reconciliations to verify the correctness of financial data.
- Generate journal entries and oversee general ledger account maintenance.
- Process vendor invoices for payment and track recurring financial obligations.
- Examine and approve timekeeping records to facilitate payroll.
- Assess transactions and activities related to vendors and customers.
- Support the preparation of 1099 forms and unclaimed property reports.
- Evaluate financial data and compile reports to inform business decisions.
- Contribute to monthly and annual financial closing procedures.
- Work with various departments to uphold accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Carry out additional relevant tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge in bank reconciliation, accounting principles, journal entries, balance sheet management, account reconciliation, financial analysis, general ledger, and job costing to preserve the accuracy of financial records. Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting financial information and creating supportive reports. Success in this role also depends on the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, paired with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Education and Experience:
- A bachelor\'s degree in accounting or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- This role involves extended periods of seated work at a computer workstation.
