Samos Café & Grill is seeking a skilled and professional Barista to join our team in Sherman Oaks. This role requires a seasoned individual capable of crafting popular coffee beverages, adhering precisely to established recipes, and providing outstanding customer service. This position is not suitable for beginners; we are looking for a proficient, tidy, and dependable person committed to maintaining high-quality standards.

Primary Duties

• Prepare a variety of espresso-based beverages, teas, fresh juices, non-alcoholic cocktails, and contemporary coffee specialties.
• Execute company beverage recipes with precision and uniformity.
• Handle opening and/or closing procedures for the café, including daily cleaning of all equipment.
• Ensure the service bar area remains clean, well-organized, and fully supplied.
• Process customer orders, manage point-of-sale transactions, and deliver courteous, expert service.
• Support food service activities and contribute to efficient café operations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one to two years of direct experience as a barista or in a café setting is mandatory.
• Proficiency in making modern coffee drinks and following specific preparation guidelines.
• A neat and businesslike demeanor; a positive, cooperative attitude is essential.
• Dependable, punctual, and skilled at handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Possession of a Food Handler’s Card, or willingness to acquire one within the first month of employment.

Compensation and Perks

• Hourly wage ranges from $17.50 to $26.00.
• Shift availability during morning and afternoon hours.
