About This Job

LVNs or CNAs are needed to provide comprehensive care for a 24-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy, spastic quadriplegia, and a seizure disorder. This is a full-care position. Recent LVN graduates will be considered, and full training will be provided for all staff.

Schedule

The primary need is for Wednesday and Thursday overnight shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Additional shifts may become available, and coverage for illnesses and vacations will also be required.

Responsibilities

Full care duties include administering G-tube feeds via pump, diapering, providing oral care, suctioning, performing range of motion exercises, dispensing medications via G-tube, and potentially administering breathing treatments with postural drainage and percussion as needed.

Requirements

  • All applicants will undergo a background check.
  • The patient weighs 63 lbs, and ceiling lifts are available in the home.
  • Sleeping during night shifts is strictly prohibited; there is a zero-tolerance policy.
  • Ideal candidates will be compassionate, caring, energetic, and maintain a positive professional attitude.
  • Candidates must be mature, punctual, reliable, responsible, and have reliable transportation.
  • Smoking is not permitted during shifts.

Compensation & Employment

Pay for LVNs is negotiable through our affiliated nursing agency, and LVNs will be employed through that agency. Pay for CNAs is $24.50 per hour plus overtime, with a scheduled increase in January.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a pleasant home with a harmonious atmosphere. Please note that surveillance cameras are in use, and there are cats residing in the home.
