A manufacturer of aerospace components located in Simi Valley is seeking to fill the role of Spherical Lapping Assistant within its deburring and lapping division. Second Shift: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual spherical lapping on inner diameters using a standard drill press.
• Remove burrs by smoothing sharp edges on both internal and external part surfaces.
• Operate various deburring tools, including files, Dremel tools, die grinders, and polishing wheels.
• Conduct measurements with calipers and verify threads using thread gauges.
• Modify machine parameters, such as time and pressure, to achieve specified part dimensions.
• Share process insights to help enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Familiarity with fundamental machining and measurement techniques.
• Capability to comprehend and adhere to detailed written instructions.
• Capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance as needed.
• A demonstrated commitment to teamwork and workplace safety.
