We are seeking a sales associate for a position with immediate cash compensation. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales abilities, and familiarity with semi-precious stones is a valuable asset. This role also presents an excellent opportunity for business majors seeking hands-on experience in small business development and expansion.

Position Overview

I create handmade bracelets and sell rings at a pop-up booth during the Tuesday farmers market held at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). The bracelet designs are proprietary, patent-pending, and represent a trade secret, with plans for future distribution in larger retail markets. I require assistance in managing this booth as I focus on growing the company.

Requirements & Responsibilities

The candidate must be dependable and physically capable of lifting, transporting, and setting up a 10x10 pop-up tent, three 4-foot folding tables, display units, inventory, a chair, and various tools and office supplies. Access to a vehicle with at least a hatchback is likely necessary to transport these items.

Schedule

The role is for Tuesdays during the CSUN Fall and Spring semesters, typically in 3 to 4-month increments. Setup begins at 8:15 AM. The market operates from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with breakdown starting at 2:30 PM.

Strong sales performance can lead to opportunities at additional locations and more lucrative events.
