JMG SECURITY SYSTEMS, INC., the leading provider of fire and security solutions in Southern California, is currently seeking Service Technicians and Installers for positions in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley region. The company specializes in the installation and maintenance of fire alarms, burglar alarms, closed-circuit television, and card access systems for medium to large-scale commercial, industrial, and retail enterprises.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the selected candidate will ensure the correct and prompt servicing of all systems installed or monitored by JMG. As a field representative, the Service Technician must possess a deep understanding of relevant codes and their application to the proper functioning of residential security, commercial security, and life safety systems. This role also involves acting as the primary point of contact between JMG and its clients, delivering customer service that surpasses expectations while adhering to the company\'s standards of performance and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving history
  • A minimum of five years of experience in the security and fire alarm industry, preferably in installation or service, is desired
  • Must apply for or currently hold an Alarm Company Employee (ACE) registration card issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
  • Must possess or be actively working toward obtaining a State of California DIR - Fire & Life Safety License
  • Physical requirements: The role regularly involves manual dexterity, handling equipment, and pushing or pulling objects. Candidates must occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds, work at heights up to 75 feet, and use ladders. The position also requires driving, sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
